Below are some photos of the latest project at Heartsong, inspired by both need and maintenance of course but mostly a shared love & responsibility for a sacred place within community.
Klairanisa held up the inspiration of our work day in June. She scrubbed the exterior walls of the dining hall with bleach to prep for staining and painting.
Shamsuddin joined her one person team for five solid days of work on the building…and mowing!
Responding to Shakura’s call for a paint party to finish it up, coming out into the 102 degrees on July 25th to join Klairanisa and Shamsuddin, were Malika, Shakur, Scott and Shams!!! Scroll down to see the Paint Party Participants and results (a couple of ‘before’ photos too).
